Chicken Bone Broth
Low calorie, rich in protein, collagen, amino acids and minerals that strengthen the immune system, improve digestion, skin elasticity and promote joint health. Even if they didn’t know it, there are scientific reasons why our grandmothers insisted a bowl of chicken broth was the cure to whatever ailed us.
Its unctuous flavor and rich feel are achieved through a combination of technique and high quality ingredients, along with obsessive trial and error.
The broth is intentionally packaged without any salt, so you can customize it to your own taste, as well as use it as an ingredient in your own cooking. I particularly like to use it in sauces or as a replacement for water when making rice or pasta, transforming empty calories into something nutritious. If you’re feeding a picky eater, this is a perfect way to sneak something healthy into their butter noodles.
Ingredients: water, chicken, onion, carrot, celery, garlic, parsley, bay leaves, pepper, apple cider vinegar & olive oil
Instructions: Remove from freezer and let thaw. Pour contents into sauce pan and heat on stove to simmer. Add salt to taste.
